Firstly, we used paper and pencils to learn about the mathematical patterns that are involved with creating pieces of string art. This was tricker than it looked! But after practicing, we got better at it.
Then we decided to give it a go! We used old lean board and push pins to create our base circle, and then different colours of wool to add the depths and layers. The Art room was almost silent as we worked on this - it was so much fun to add our own flavour to our work.
