Room 9 at Tamaki Primary are skilled artists. They really enjoy creating art with Mrs Manuyag, but with their own flair - to make it unique to them.
Today, we created floating spacemen - integrating art with our Inquiry this term - 'Earth and Beyond.'
Here are the steps if you want to do the same!
Step One:
Trace around your hands and feet onto a piece of A3 or A2 paper. Some of us found it easier to do this with a buddy helping us. Your hands should be in the top third of your paper, and your feet in the bottom third.
Step Two:
Now add a circle for your space helmet. This will be above your hands (but going behind your hands).
Step Three:
Then, add in your body shape. This can take a bit to get right, so it is easier to do in pencil. I have shown you below where to do your beginning lines, before joining it all up!
Step Four:
Now add your detail and colour! Here are some of the finished examples from Room 9. Enjoy!
